Thank you for the Gene Clark birthday gift. It was a nice way to mark the day.
don't we miss Gene Clark more as time goes on ? Always wonder what he would have been capable of had he gotten proper medical diagnosis, and gotten proper care, much like Brian Wilson has. Still no excuse for the Estate not releasing all the unreleased material that's available....
I am curious about a couple of Byrds related line up and shows and was wondering if anyone cane offer some assistance:
1. Does anyone know if the McGuinn, Clark, Hillman (with Crosby) show from 1978-02-09 at the Roxy Theatre, Los Angeles CA has ever circulated and has heard it?
2. I have heard mention that Michael Clarke sat in with McGuinn, Clark, Hillman on more than one occasion when he was on the outs with Firefall. If so does anyone know the location and dates of the show?
3. Have any shows circulated from the last line up of the Byrds (Roger Mc Guinn , Chris Hillman , Clarence White ,Joe Lala)? I believe the concerts would have been in the March-April 1973 time frame.
4. Does anyone know of any shows that Gene Clark performed with Jesse Ed Davis, are were recorded, outside of the McCabe's Guitar Shop,
Santa Monica, CA show from 1980-04-19? Thanks.
It's hard to believe that, after so many years, there are still such untouched gems as these that have to be discovered.
Thank You Rocking Byrd once again.
