A nice, intimate concert with a variety of material from the Byrds and from Gene's solo career. Clark seems to have a good rapport with the audience and his performance is good throughout. Although I admit I like Gene Clark with accompanying musicians, he was a true troubador who could put on a good show backed up by his guitar and nothing else. A pleasant surprise here is the inclusion of For a Spanish Guitar, which I have rarely heard in concert. It is amazing how many fine songs this man wrote, and it's a pity that he didn't have much success as a soloist, for reasons we all know. Thanks for this complete concert--a good way to mark your return to the blogsphere.
