Great post!
This should be the same line-up that toured Japan and who recorded the great Close Encounters To The West Coast, isn't it?
Thank you very much Rocking Byrd...

No Dino, the Japanese tour happened in 1978 and Joel Scott-Hill was replaced with Greg Harris.

This concert was the first time I could see some of my heroes live, only a stone's throw away from my home. I was a little disappointed as Gene Parsons had left just before the tour. The concert was short because the radio crew only needed about one hour of music and they had recorded another act the same evening (The Barbara Dickson Band). A few songs were left out of the broadcast (Devil in Disguise among them). Btw.: The Postaula was teared down just a few weeks ago.
The concert was sponsored by a bank and we had to pay 3 Deutsche Mark (less than 1 Dollar). Those were the days...
PS Do you know of recordings of the Byrds Celebration when Gene Parsons was still in the band (Parsons, Battin, Rogers, Nienhaus)?

I never heard of existing recordings of the Byrds Celebration with Parsons, Battin, Rogers and Nienhaus.
