A nice, relaxing concert. The two once worked very well together, but now they don't even talk to each other. Oh well. The setlist is well chosen so that each gets his chance to showcase a song or two, but the harmonies, though not quite as rich as in the CSN and CSN&Y records, are still nice to hear and meld together quite well. I was used to Crosby doing mostly high harmonies with the Byrds--and he was the best they ever had at that--but with the the other groups his harmony was mid-range, as Nash had the higher voice. Because of the tightness of the vocal arrangements on the group recordings, this was not always so noticeable, but it is much clearer here in a live performance. Another point is that this completely acoustic performance shows how easily their music could go from hard rock to gentle acoustic. Thanks for this concert, R--B.
