What can I say? Wish I'd been there...
Thanks once again RB!
Wow! i love Gene Parsons! thanks Rockinbyrd, this is a fine surprise!
Hey, I like this upload! Just 5 nice songs, but they bring back memories and thoughts of what might have been. Gene Parsons was vocally underused in the later Byrds--a few solos, and Jesus is Just Alright (the live versions with John York had the best vocal arrangements). He certainly could have sung the Gram Parsons songs from Sweetheart, and should have developed the harmonies on Glory Glory instead of having the gospel choir. The vocal arrangements here of Quiet Joys of Brotherhood are superb. It's also nice to hear his B-bender, since he basically invented the thing. Who's That Calling is also a nice song, well sung by both artists. The rapport between Parsons and Green is good, although not quite as powerful and Gene Clark-Carla Olson in So Rebellious a Lover. Thanks for this treat.
Hi thanks for all the great music!
Any chance you might re-up the Byrds Nov 1970 Joan D'Arc Academ, Milton MA show? The link is expired.
Thanks again for your sharing.
Thanks R-B
As always, thanks so very much!
