I already have this concert, and a fine one it is indeed. They both play very well together, even with just two instruments, and the harmonies are also excellent, especially on Fair and Tender Ladies. Particularly interesting is Crazy Ladies, a very moody song with a McGuinn 12-string break that echoes his work on the album 5D. These two might have made an interesting album if they'd stayed in this groove, but with the addition of Chris Hillman and the resulting hype of a Byrds reunion-that-wasn't-really-a-reunion, the direction goit kind of lost. I saw the three of them together in San Diego in the late 70s in a concert much like this (Hillman played mandolin) and it was also excellent. I think this was the first time the original Byrds were better live than on record!
