Thanks, RB. I actually prefer some of these mixes over Jim Dickson's mix. It's too bad someone doesn't get the master tapes, if they even still exist, and do a definitive mix, and maybe do a package that would include the Melcher tracks that were on the Lost Sessions. It would be nice to have cover photos of Gene that's contemporary with the album as well.

Finally got around to listening to this, and, for the most part, I see much difference between this and other versions of the album I've heard. The exceptions are the first two songs, done with the rest of the original Byrds. I noticed the flute more in ]She's the Kind of Girl, and it sounds quite nice. One in a Hundred sounds pretty similar except for the addition of a louder short 12-string riff in parts. Out of place? Not really, as the 12.-string sounds kind of tinny in the recording. As for the rest of the album, it's good, but rather slow and maybe lacking in a little excitement. She Don't Care About Time is an example of how a fine rocking song is slowed down to an almost soporific pace. Still, all Gene Clark material is worth listening to, and the little surprises that pop up in alternate albums and/or takes are always interesting to hear. So thanks once again.
