Although the connection with the Byrds is tenuous at best in this recording, it is still a nice set of tracks. I remember Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder from progressive FM in the late 60s and early 70s. and I didn't know they had formed this group. I have no idea if Kevin Kelly is on this set, but I wouldn't recognize his work anyway--after all, he didn't even do all of Sweetheart of the Rodeo, and wasn't a Byrd long enough to accustom one to his style. But it's an interesting concert all the same, so thanks RB for that.
