As I listen to this concert, a number of things come to mind.
--After a lifetime of concerts, McGuinn's voice sounds pretty good for a man in his late 60s. His voice was always kind of nasal, high-pitched and kind of weak (particularly evident when he tried to sing harder rock and roll), but also quite expressive in its way. After the excesses of his pre-Christian life, McGuinn has managed to take care of his voice and bring out its strengths. He sings quite well in this concert, and I suppose that's true of his concerts even now.
--Previous solo concerts without a band made me think that McGuinn was best with at least one accompanying musician. Thus my favorite concets were those with the Byrds, his various rock backup bands, and the concerts with Gene Clark and later with Chris Hillman. I though Gene Clark pulled off the singer-songwriter act better than McGuinn. But he sounds fine here, totally at ease with his audience and giving his best.
--Despite claiming that he wants the Byrds to be a good memory, he continues to use the Byrds catalogue for the majority of his songs, and relatively little from his Folk Den catalogue. So in the end, McGuinn is basically an oldies act. I don't get that impression about David Crosby, who continues to make new music. Is McGuinn capable of new music. Doesn't seem so.
--The 7-string has been much criticized by some fans, who say it lacks the sound of the 12-string. Personally, I think it sounds fine, and understand McGuinn's justification for preferring it. However, I don't find many solos which require much string-bending in this concert.
--Finally, since I live way out of the range of any future McGuinn concert, it's nice to be able to get to hear a relatively recent concert by a musician I have always liked, and who influenced me to get a 12-string guitar of my own. This ios a gift of the digital age, and a welcome service provided by people like Rocking--Byrd. Which is a way of saying thanks.

McGuinn just seems to get better and better.

I'd just like to echo Steve's comments; I think he was spot on with all his points. Having been fortunate enough to see both Gene Clark and McGuinn solo a number of times, I always found Gene Clark much more engaging and interesting. To me, McGuinn's been doing the same old solo show since the end of MCH, and seems to have run out of creativity long ago. I couldn't see McGuinn putting out anything as interesting, or as good as Crosby's new lp.Just an opinion...
