It is strange that there’s no complete concert available anywhere, by the original 5-men or 4-men Byrds from 1965 to 1967 (except for their 8-song performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in June 1967 which is officially available). All we have is TV and radio live performances, but no complete concert. So here’s a compilation of some of their appearances on these media.

At the time (1964) the first 17 tracks were recorded by The Hillmen, Don Parmley was asked to record an album of instrumental tracks. Parmley recruited The Hillmen (which he was a member of) and 3 studio musicians to record that album (tracks 18-30). It was released on Crescendo records [Don Parmley With Billy Strange - 5 String Banjo With 12 String Guitar  (Crescendo Records GNP 98) (1964)], while The Hillmen tracks had to wait 5 years before they were released [The Hillmen - The Hillmen (Together ST-T-1012) (1969)].
