Just finished listening to this concert, and it sounds pretty good. Gene seems to be in a mellow mood, and after the complexities and failures of No Other, seems quite happy in a more rock 'n' roll mode, like in Painted Fire on City. He's in good form, although I don't like the slightly retarded vocals of Silver Raven--he has to sing the words too fast to catch up to the band. I don't think the newer songs are up to his best work, but they're all listenable. The band is good, and really gets that train feel with Kansas City Southern. I gather that Gene was an opening act, given the number of songs. I wonder who got star billing? Still around? Thanks for another addition to the Gene Clark concert collection.

Steve, this concert was part of the 1977 Euro tour by Gene, The Chris Hillman Band and Roger McGuinn's Thunderbyrd, which came to an abrupt end with Gene and Chris leaving and going back to the States, leaving McGuinn to finish the tour.
