It switched tracks during the recording. Over the years the tape stretched and had some pretty wild pitch fluctuations. It'll be nice to have a clean copy again (actually, probably for the first time)! Chris Hillman plays the really nice second solo after Roger McGuinn's 12-string on "Pretty Boy Floyd." He's a very underrated guitar player. Thanks for the updated link, Rocking--Byrd, and please continue to update the links from the time that you last went private. His gravel voice blessed the airwaves at NYCs WNEW-FM for many years. It's a shame that today's radio is controlled be a couple of big corporations who seem to hate music the way conservatives here hate anyone with a brain.pholkiephredhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07015167155276241773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7011267697320209894.post-90481140997022418982010-12-02T02:49:15.306+01:002010-12-02T02:49:15.306+01:00Thanks for this. They weren't far from splitting up at this point, yet the radio concert is warm and appealing, with fine acoustical arrangements and excellent harmonies. This final phase of MCH recalls the earlier McGuinn-Clark concerts, though without the electric 12-string, and it compares favorably with those concerts. You can even sing along with them. One of the nicer touches was Hillman's harmony on Pretty Boy Floyd Thanks once again.Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10595303743146887014noreply@blogger.com
