    For a band on its way to breaking up for good, this is a surprisingly good concert. Listening to the performances, it's hard to see just what McGuinn had against Gene Parsons at this point--musically, that is. I thought his drumming was fine, even less busy. Listen to the electric version of MTM, for example. . The vocals are out front, though sometimes the harmonies are a bit rough, especially in Jesus is Just Alright (compare with the tight harmonies in the Boston Tea Party recording, with York). Another surprise is Born to Rock 'N' Roll. This version really rocks, especially compared with the very anemic version on the reunited original Byrds album. Finally, this is the first time I've ever heard the Byrds do Kansas City--McGuinn seemed to be really in a rock 'n' roll mod during this period. An enjoyable concert--thanks.

    I was at this show. Yup, I’m old 😎 Great show. Every bit as good as the live portion of the Byrds Untitled double album.
